Markers Platform

Stone fruits have a very reduced postharvest life, because the Chilean fruit industry depends heavily on varieties developed in other countries that are adapted to different conditions and requirements.

The aim of this subproject is to develop and implement a platform for marker assisted selection for extensive use, that allows the development of new varieties that adapt to the agronomic and commercial needs of the Chilean fruit industry, and that open to exploitation of new varieties worldwide.
