Genome II – Botrytis
Diseases of fungal origin are the main phytosanitary problem facing the cultivation of the table grape, which may take place either during the pre- and postharvest. Necrotrophic fungus Botrytis cinerea is one of the main originators of fungal diseases in Chile.
The project had the aim to continue studies launched in the “Science and technology platform for the development of plant genomics in Chile. Stage I: Grapevine functional genomics” held in 2003-2006 and complemented by the launch of new studies to obtain plants resistant to fungal diseases.
