Cherry Tree Breeding Program

Chile needs a genetic improvement program that generates cherry varieties that adapt to the conditions of national industry. This will help to maintain its global competitiveness, it will extend the period and harvest area and have excellent post-harvest varieties.

The proposed program was designed to minimize the time between the crossing of parents and the commercial launch of the new varieties, trying to maximize their efficiency and profitability.
