Scaling of Cherry Tree Propagation

The nursery industry in Chile has joined the growth of the cherry industry by introducing new varieties and rootstocks. However, the difficulty to spread (multiply) by conventional mechanisms in nurseries is one of the challenges of several new rootstocks.

This subproject will use the current developments in the field of automated propagation for the establishment of automated propagation of cherry attached to a commercial production line of pre-existing cherry, on a pilot scale.
